Free Food pantries /Food Banks

Food banks and free food pantries listed below help families that are facing hunger. The pantries are mostly located at churches and non-profits in the region. Most of the free food pantry locations may have an application process, which usually requires proof of income, residency proof etc. Using donations from the community, and relying on volunteers, the locations may pass out free boxes of food or serve a meal.

Osceola Council On Aging Mission

Senior Dining Club Program – (Congregate Meal)
Are you age 60 or over?
The Senior Dining Club Program is for you!

Hot nutritious balanced meals are served to active adults 60 years and older at numerous convenient locations throughout Osceola County. Meals are prepared fresh daily and contain one third of the required daily allowance (RDA) for adults and comply with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs Guidelines.

The Senior Dining Clubs provides a place for older adults to gather for socialization and shared nutritious lunchtime meal.  Senior Dining Sites are funded under the older American Act and local funding. They are open to ANYONE age 60 or over!  There is no charge for the meal, but a donation can be made to the program if the participants want to do so.  Come share good conversation, fun games and a meal with us.  We’ll be looking forward to your company,

Located in the Osceola Council on Aging at the Barney Veal Center. 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
The times of operation are from Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM until 12:00 Noon.

St. Cloud site:
Located in the St. Cloud Senior Center at 3101 17th. St., St. Cloud
The times of operation are from Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM until 12:00 Noon.

Poinciana Site:
Currently they meet at the Barney E. Veal Center, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, Fl 34744.
Watch for the announcement of their new location coming soon.
They meet two days a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 8:30 AM thru 12:00 Noon.

Centro Latino Americano Edad De Oro (CLEO) Site:
Meet three days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) a week at the Barney Veal Center, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, FL 34744, and two days (Tuesdays and Fridays) at the Guevara Community Center, 501 Florida Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34743.

St. Luke Site:
Located at the St. Luke Missionary Church at 400 E. Columbia Ave., Kissimmee, FL 34744. Meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM until 12 Noon.

Oak Leaf Landings Site:
For residents of Oak Leaf Landings.

St. Cloud Villas:
For residents of St. Cloud Villas.

Meals on the Wheels serves all Osceola County.  At the present they have 31 routes:   11 routes in St. Cloud, 17 routes in Kissimmee including Celebration, 2 in Poinciana and 1 in Intercession City and Campbell City.

Osceola Council On Aging Food Bank and Pantry

The Osceola County Food Bank provides food bags to seniors, disabled adults and disadvantaged families. The Osceola Council on Aging began providing food assistance programs to the Osceola County community more than 40 years ago and has evolved to provide nutrition assistance to more than 40,000 needy households every year.

The Osceola Council on Aging, Inc. is the largest social services organization in Osceola County, providing a wide array of services and programs to meet the needs of the community. Though the name implies services for just the elderly, our scope of services extend to families as well, helping during crisis to enable generations of residents to cope with challenges.The Community Services department  provides a comprehensive menu of emergency and preventative economic assistance to assist program participants in an effort to avert family crisis, prevent homelessness, and re-establish economic stability.
