Free Food pantries /Food Banks
Food banks and free food pantries listed below help families that are facing hunger. The pantries are mostly located at churches and non-profits in the region. Most of the free food pantry locations may have an application process, which usually requires proof of income, residency proof etc. Using donations from the community, and relying on volunteers, the locations may pass out free boxes of food or serve a meal.
Asbury United Methodist Church Mission
Address – 87 West Street
Annapolis Maryland, 21401
Phone number is 410-268-9500
This pantry holds both food giveaway programs and runs a soup kitchen. Hot meals are offered on Saturdays. In addition, the items passed out will offer baked goods, breads, pastries, and other foods (except fruits and vegetables) that are given away. Fruit and vegetable giveaways are held less frequently and depend heavily on when more regional food banks supply the church.
Food Link, Inc.
Address is 2666 Riva Road 3rd Floor
Annapolis MD, 21401

A food bank can provide emergency groceries or free boxes of food to those in need. Baby supplies are offered too, and can include diapers, formula and clothes. Rarely items such as baby furniture may be offered, but there are no guarantees.
If the center can’t help you, the non-profit will assist callers in finding a local food pantry that will serve them what they need and provide a referral if needed. Lastly, the program provides free fresh produce to those in need at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. Come early as resources and support is limited.
