Food banks and free food pantries listed below help families that are facing hunger. The pantries are mostly located at churches and non-profits in the region. Most of the free food pantry locations may have an application process, which usually requires proof of income, residency proof etc. Using donations from the community, and relying on volunteers, the locations may pass out free boxes of food or serve a meal.
Central City AIDS Network offers services only for HIV and AIDS patients. Their immediate family members may also receive help, including food, meals, and referrals. Some referrals to medical programs may be provided too.

You need to make an appointment for food bank/grocery assistance. All appointments need to be scheduled on Fridays from 1pm – 2pm. Distribution of food and canned or fresh groceries will be the following Wednesday between 9am and 1pm.
Applicants can decide to make the appointment at the pantry either in person or by phone. Attempts to make a grocery appointment at the Ministry by leaving a voice mail cannot be honored.
Free food, surplus USDA commodities and groceries can be provided at most once every 30 days. If you have an emergency, then requests should be accompanied by a letter from a referring agency, such as social services. Other programs offered include clothing bank, Shower and laundry facilities, including transitional housing community and homeless advocacy.

Hot meal programs are offered, and applicants need to apply for Lunch on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and Friday.
Other aid offered includes prescription drug assistance as funds and vouchers are available. However the emergency food pantry is the most common resource requested.
